June 2009 - On Principal!
Derby G&S Company's highly acclaimed soloists are proud to present 'On Principle' at the Sir Michael Bishop Hall, Derby Grammar School on Friday 17th July 2009.
For one night only we'll stray from our traditional roots to take you into the world of the West End and Broadway, with a spine-tingling variety of celebrated songs from some of the World's greatest composers and lyricists.
The proceeds of the concert will support Derby G&S Company's production of 'The Gondoliers' at Buxton's Opera House in August this year, where we'll compete once again to become International Gilbert & Sullivan Champions. Ticket details here.
May 2009 - A new home for Derby G&S in Derby?
Our plans for an annual show this year are currently hanging in the balance. Uncertainty over the future of Derby Playhouse under new ownership by Derby University has led us to question our commitment to a full show at the Sir Michael Bishop Hall and therefore it has been chosen to postpone this show whilst we wait for news on the Playhouse. Your patience is greatly appreciated in this challenging time. Rest assured, we intend to put on the very best programme this year - more news soon!
